SPMT - Self Propelled Modular Transporter

We are a manufacturer of SPMTs and Self propelled modular transporter in China, supply all kinds of platform transporters to transport oversized equipments and abnormal heavy loads modules on road or off road. SPMT transporter is composed of modular trailers (dead axle), drive axles and PPU, always used for extremely heavy loads road transport and outsize equipments transportation. Hydraulic pressure motors are amounted on the pendulum axles of the powered modular transporters, the pressure comes from pumps which connected with power pack unit. The power pack unit (PPU) connection is additionally equipped with hydraulic cylinders for adjusting the approach angle when moving up to ramps. The self propelled modular transporter has computer controlled the approach of the transport automatically and safety valve to ensure stable pressure of the total hydraulic pressure loop.

In off-shore field, those transporter combinations carry out all operations such as loading, transportation, positioning and unloading. In these cases, parallel combinations with three or more modules coupled side by side are usually used. The individual modules can be linked with one another in any combination according to demand of operator. Synchronized steering of all transportation units integrated in the vehicle group is guaranteed.

Engineers control SPMTs via a remote control panel. Each axle moves independently and inspected and controlled by the computerized control system during whole operation.
